Driving Age Changing?

United States

I have heard from multiple people that the driving age in the state of New Hampshire and some other states are raising from age 16 to 17. Is this really fair? I know there are some irresponsible young drivers that get DUI's and do stupid stuff on the roads that cause dangerous accidents, but is it fair to responsible teens? that need their license to drive to school, work, grocery store and other places they cannot get because their parents can't take them? Or there is no bus going there? Leave some opinions on what you think about this possible change. This topic is really difficult because there is two major sides to it, the responsible teens that need it.. or the amount of fatal accidents teen drivers are getting into.

I say drop the legal age, you will quickly get rid of a lot of the idiots society doesn't need anyway

It would work, unfortunately they would take the productive members of society with them in a big firey wreck of doom. If we had a separate road infrastructure just for the people under a certain age and IQ then it would be fine, we can get rid of them all in no time at all. Big win!

In South Africa, the age at which you can get on the waiting list to get a booking to take the test to get your driver's license is 18. Stop complaining, 17 isn't that bad. Do you really think you are ready to drive off on your own before that?
