Recommendations for free web design software?

Again I am seeking out help. I guess I just don't know where to look for these things. But anyway, I just really need some recommendations for some free web design software or a place to download free templates. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Just as the previous poster said, free software is not even comparable to paid software. Dreamweaver is by far the best web design program on the market in my opinion. If you are looking to build a website for free and feel like learning something new, then it would be the perfect time to learn how to program in HTML. Then all you need is a computer and a text editor :)

I hear ya, I hear ya. I would love to learn HTML in my spare time. However, quality is important here, too. I guess I will just have to suck it up and shell out the dough for some good software.
