I have a friend who told me about her friend who was becoming my friend that that friend was all kinds of a friend, but to beware of her unfriendly 'dark side'! So I made up my own mind and I'm not confused anymore! Now where are the cookies? LOL

I used to be one of them (easy to lose temper), so I guess nobody would ever dare to feel my wrath! Hope that my friends didn't tell that to anyone, I am new guy now.. See? I have another friend who's like that as well, maybe that's why we end up becoming good friends..

I have many great friends bella, both off-line and online, who care and would warn me if there's anything coming my way or that I should be aware of before dealing with another person. Though I don't judge a new relationship based on the input provided, I do take a note and try to be careful and avoid situations where something may go down badly. I have to admit, though, that sometimes warnings were right and other times they were not or at least not in the perspective I was told. It doesn't mean that I mistrust those friends who warned me, I take it that they had error of judgment. Same applies in online friendship relations, and here on mylot too. A couple of people warned me about a user here that he is capable of playing dirty. I solicited opinion of another friend of mine who was this user's friend too and he gave good comments, the same I replied by to those who warned me but I did tell them that I'll be careful. I accepted to be that user's friend and it went well until the dark side came out. Those couple of people were very right in their judgment, still it didn't cause me lose trust in my that friend who gave good comments, I only thought that he erred in his judgment!

My friends are probably talking about me when it comes down to temper. :) I can have a hot temper and my friends are usually the ones talking me out of it.

At least they are talking you out of it instead of into it. I use to have some friends that would talk you into it instead of out.

I was usually the one with the bad temper!! It was usually my friends warning others about me. I had a terrible temper and people used to be quite wary of me as they never knew how I would react if someone was winding me up. I have mellowed out quite a lot over the years though.

hrmm actually it ws myself that was in need of anger management. thankfully, i got it. way back when i was young ..;coughs;.. and my oldest daughter was very small.. her spermdonor who was a horrible sort of man, used to do things just to hurt me. didnt like the fact that i didnt like his lies and cheating nature, and ditched, regardless.. hed use the baby as a pawn in his sick twisted little game. this, as any good mommy, made me angrier than his actions themself. after a little more than a year of this.. my anger reached peaks of monumentous proportions, until i was actually having black-out rages. the littlest thing would set me off, and id snap.. come to and things would be broken, and i had no memory of it at all. the final straw.. he had come over sposedly to see her, spent the entire time attempting to get me in the sack, and left screaming at me.. i snapped. when i came to, i was sitting on the floor in my hallway, with no idea how id gotten there and my last memory being him squealing tires out of the driveway. inspection of the house.. my windows were broken out.. my dishes were in the alleyway (im assuming thrown through the now broken windows) furniture was upturned and across the rooms, and the security door with the electric buzzer entry locks, was completely tore off its hinges. and my baby girl.. whose room was untouched thank gods.. was scolding me to "stop your tantrum right now!!" i fell apart. wound up back on the hallway floor sobbing my guts out, with the yellow pages in my lap and a phone in my hand getting myself a shrink. that was the last time, its never happened since. 1) i got the hell away from the apparent trigger. as much as i wanted her to have a "daddy" trying to force him to be one was doing way more harm than good to the both of us. 2) i learned some very valuable lessons. about myself, how i tick, and to never again put up with those people in this world who are bound and determined to destroy us. do i still have a dark side? absolutely.. but in embracing it, respecting it, and most importantly, UNDERSTANDING it, it no longer rears its ugly head taking full control over my life.

I applaud you .. Embracing it and knowing what triggers your dark side is one of the many things on the road to recovery. LOL! Ihave a dark side don't let my suzy sunshine make you think I don't because we all have one wether we accept it or not. I like you know my triggers and my points and are careful not to step where the triggers are. LOL!!!Or should I say Land mines.
