Pele or Maradona?

Pele and Maradona are the famous two football stars. They are playing beautiful football its truth but whose one is best footballer for you?

my pick would be pele. not taking anything away from maradona but i think pele is the better player. his fundamentlas are very sound. he also made players around him better.

To be fair to Maradona, he also made the players around him better. In the 1990 World Cup he did not score a goal. However, it was his efforts that brought an inferrior Argentian Team all the way to the final. Somehow the Argentinians manage to defeat superior teams from Brazil and Italy on route to the final.
However, I think in the long run Pele is a better player based on his longevity as a player. Maradona was brilliant in the 1986 World Cup, he managed to bring the team up to the final in 1990 and then collapsed. By comparison, Pele managed to play an instrumental part in the 3 World Cups that Brazil Won and after then he managed to play football as at the highest level. I think part of greatness is not just flashes of brilliance but being able to stretch it out over the longest period.
