High School Football Playoff time

United States

It's that time of year again! The weather is getting colder, the leaves are falling from the trees, and the loyal crowds of people are readying for football. The Browns play, the Buckeyes play, but neither are as popular as the local high school preparing for the playoffs. Here in Massillon our team plays on Friday against the neighboring school. The stadium seats 6000, and the tickets will be split between the 2 schools. So what do you do to make sure you have seats??? You camp out of course. People have been out in the cold, wind and rain since Saturday...waiting for the chance to show support for their team. Is HS football as rabid with your town???

I'm from Texas where football is a religion that even the Baptists practice fervently. If there's a football game... small local stores are apt to be closed for the occasion so the store owners can attend the game. This phenomena has intensified ever since UT won the National Championship last year and now every football player wants to be the next Vince Young. As for me... I'm actually not a big football fan... strangely enough...
