Or Do You Like To Cook Alone? I Like Cooking Alone Some Days And On Others, I Enjoy When I Have Someone To Help Me In The Kitchen Cooking. I Do Not Like Having Someone Come Into My Kitchen Just To Taste The Food And Tell Me What I Need/Don't Need To Do, It Drives Me Crazy! And As For Having 2 Women In The Kitchen To Cook, It Don't Work For Me...lol I Like Being The Only Woman In The Kitchen. Now Throw In A Few Men Who Don't Know What They Are Doing, And Don't Claim To Know Anything About Cooking...And I'm Happy!

Number one I live in an apartment and my kitchen is rather small. So to have a second person helping out in the cooking or preparation would be pack. I am a fussy cook who likes to keep things neat and clean even while I am cooking so it would be better for me to work alone in my kitchen.

I definitely do not like help with cooking in the kitchen. I need all the room I can get because we have a large family and a small kitchen! I also do not like any of my children or my husband help me because it can knock me off my schedule of getting a meal on the table. And because my hubby CLAIMS that he is a better cook than me, but he always manages to eat the meals I serve him!LOL Sincerely in Christ, Leesa C. Eph 2:8,9

Cooking alone is what I used to do but I like to have somebody help me also. But if the person cannot help me in anyway, or cannot even do the thing right, I do not want him/her in my kitchen. It will just bother me and delay my work. I do not like people who will just put all the work on me, like after eating, they do not even wash the dishes or put it in the dishwasher, I will be pissed.

Dear friend, I help my mother in kitchen and also it is very interesting and later I liked cooking and started cooking my own ways. My father also helps and do not like to keep a servant cook in kitchen even for other works they are kept. Not only myself most of our family members when gathered helps in cooking and also some times it would be mess. Unless those professional cooks there throw others out.

Oh me too I don't like being overcrowded in the kitchen and someone else making things harder and more mess for me to clean up later. Yes I have my own system of doing things and if I wanted someone else to cook I would leave them the kitchen to cook. However when I am in my kitchen I do like my things to go a certain way and since no one else does the cleaning I generally like to clean as I go along so it does not all heap up at once because that is what I hate and I know that some people let things become mountains. I try to be careful as I go along but even I have to admit I do make mistakes and a bit of mess but I make sure to address it straight away but some people let it sit there for a bit and when it hardens if it is a substance that does so like many, then it is harder to clean later on so that is one of the reasons why I do it like that too. It can not only be annoying when I am cooking up a feast to have someone even just walk in let alone try to help out in some way, it can be a nightmare. So to answer your question yes I prefer to be alone when I am in my kitchen. It is more peaceful for me that way and I enjoy it that way too.

Hi Ladylonewolf, Yes I too agree with you.. There are some who come into the kitchen just to taste and complain something is wrong or not proper. But that is better than comments at the dining table. My husband prides himself for teaching me how to cook, how, you know? commenting all the time from the dining table??? that salt is more, sugar less, chilli a little more or less etc. I learnt cooking all by myself, I hadn't learnt cooking before marriage. Those times if someone comes into the kitchen I used to get upset and ask them to go and wait in the living room. But nowadays I can manage talking and cooking... whoever it is. I just don't mind.

If it's just one or two dishes for the family, I prefer to be alone. But, if there's a party here, or we have to cook for a potluck, I prefer my siblings help me preparing the ingredients and help me time the cooking.

No, since I am not into cooking yet.. I don't wander around in the kitchen when someone is cooking especially if mom is cooking, she hates it when we wander or roam around there... lolz.. you know that is her PLACE. hehe

it depends who it is... If its one of my friends who will just be a pain in the way I prefer if its just me... but if its someone who is good in following instructions I would love to have them around :) But if I'm preparing a meal for guests I prefer if I did all the job

I quite like having somebody to help me with the preparation; peeling and cutting up vegetables, etc., but I hate to have anybody under my feet whilst I'm actually cooking. A washer-up would be quite nice too, I think! Brightest Blessings.

I don't like help in the kitchen at all. I always feel like the person is getting in my way or watching the way I cook my food and it annoys me. The other day my dad came in the kitchen when I was just about to finish cooking some cassava and he was just standing there and sorta helping... I ended up asking him if he came to help me or what? He said, "No" He just came to see what I was doing. I asked him if it didn't eat good last time? He said it was excellent...but why did you put so much water in the pot to boil it? lol...you get my point. He is the same way when he is the chef...he doesn't like me in the kitchen either!

I prefer to cook alone. Because even though we have a big kitchen, I get easily anmoyed when the other person is in my way and we are on the way to bump each other. On the other hand, I do want someone to taste my food and tell me what they think so I could improve.

I hate it when my husband wonders in the kitchen just to taste the food and tell me what it needs or doesn't need.Besides he is a better cook then me anyway and shows me up to family and friends..lol
