I prefer Petrol. Petrol engines are super refined. For diesel, even if it is a BMW, it'll still lack a bit in refinement. Plus, diesels are a bit sluggish as compared to petrols. For me, petrol all the way.

For me petrol. I have not used or owned a vehicle using diesel. I am not really a car expert but I think diesel tends to create more carbon monoxide or something when it exits out of a car. Im not really sure on that.

Diesel is a better option in my opinion as it lasts longer and theres not always a que at the fuel station for that type aswell. The bad thing about it is most cars that run on diesel cost more than those running on petrol.

its hard to compare them. diesel engines have more torque n rpm, while also consume less fuel, so are more suited for heavy vehicles and off-road driving. the downside is that they have less horse power and they have that oily smell. petrol, on the other side, delivers more horse power, so its widely used as a performance fuel in racing, and its the most common, let say, public fuel. downside is that they consume a lot of fuel, and have far less torque n rpm. most petrol engines struggle when faced with heavy loads or off-road tracks. i personally prefer diesel engines, since their development have brought them so close to petrol engines. I don't see the point of driving on petrol when u get the same performance for less money with a diesel.

I completely denied this discussion. Why i have to prefer one of them. What is the purpose of your discussion. I don't know why you start this discussion. Even you have not added any comment here. Then it is meaningless. Please prepare some content before going to start a suvey.

Diesel and Petrol vehicles have their own advantage and disadvantage. If you want power, smooter ride you can always chose for the petrol one, but the cost of petrol is comparitively high. Diesel one are harsh and now the CRDi engine give you good mileage, and also the cost of Diesel is lower comparted to petrol. It might seem that the Diesel ones give you more economy the maintanance of the the engine would bring you close to the running cost of a Petrol one. Well I like both... I mean i like all cars

I have not tried diesel before, my family and my friends have all been using petrol all along. I always thought diesel is for bus, truck or commercial or big sized vehicles, and the performance is poorer, I am not sure. But usually we pump petrol for the cars here.

I think petrol will offer better performance when drving, and is quieter than diesel when working. if the motor has some problems, petrol motor is cheaper to repair. As a pity, petrol has more CO2 emissions than diesel.

i would prefer petrol because i think a petrol car produces much less noise than a diesel car and i don't like my car producing noises around, i like to go in my car without any noise in the surroundings, and also i like petrol because it produces more power than the diesel.
