It is very easy for us to complain. If we have a rude cashier that waits on us or a person in customer service that just doesn't seem to care if we get our problem fixed, we ask for a manager. I always try to praise an employee for going out of their way to help me. I report good service to the manager as well. My question is: Do you report good service or a great employee to the supervisor or manager?

That is wonderful and exactly how I feel. Most people won't take the time to praise and it is much more important than people realize. Good for you!

Yes, it is a rareity when an employee goes out of his way helping a customer. When I am in the checkout or I see a supervisor nearby I feel it neccesarry to let this be known.

Hurray for you! I think it's so important to compliment for good customer service. It's such a rarity any more, that it's nice to acknowledge it. Thanks for commenting.
