What are the main theme of most of your dreams?

DO you have dreams where you dream about the same theme, person or event regularly? Or are your dreams different all the time? I used to dream all the time and remember them the next day. However lately I can't seem to remember my dreams, think I don't have enough sleep, lol. So please share your reoccurring dreams?? Do you think there is a message in this dream?

There ARE messages in recurring dreams. It's because you haven't figured out what that message is, that they keep coming to you. It may not be the same dream over and over again, but as you have wisely noticed, it's the same theme. This is because after your dreammaker give you the smae dream a few times and you don't act, it makes different dreams with the same theme in hopes that you will understand something presented to you differently. My suggestion, is to keep a pen and a journal by your bedside. when you wake up, (if you have the time) lie there with your eyes closed for a few moments, try to recature some of the images. Write them down. Write down how you felt when you woke up (scared, happy, sad, etc...) Write down key words. During the day when you get a "dream flashback" (you know, when you look at a box of Fruit Loops and it all comes back to you) write it down Also, during the day, and also when you are in bed ready to got to sleep, tell yourself all day that you will remember tonights dream. It may not happen on the first, second, or third night, but eventually it will happen. When it does, write it down. Come back here and post it. Although no one but the dreamer can interpret his/her own dreams, the outsiders can read it and give you an opinion as to what it means to them, based on their own past experiences. Only the dreamer knows EXACTLY what is going on in their life and in their head. Good Luck

Wow top response, you seem to have alot of knowledge on dreams. I will take up your idea on a dream journal. I totally agree with you that reoccuring dreams have messages for you. I have had a few prophetic dreams in the past it is quite frightening, but I think it was good that I had them as they were like warnings to me.

oh and I forgot to answer your question.. sorry, I get so into my responses.. My dreams are usually different every time. Sometimes a dream is just daytime residue.. you know, if you see an alligator in the road, and you dream of alligators that night, sometimes it is just memories of the past day.

thank you for best response . I have been working with my dreams for a while. I think it is important that we listen to them. There are lots of good books on working with your dreams as well. I will post those that I use later Have a good day! Thanks again. I appreciate it.

The last time I remember my dreams was a few weeks ago when I went through a spate of having nightmares, they lasted for quite a few days and each night would get worse and worse, I would wake up sweating and scared, then as soon as I went back to sleep pick up where I left off. It got to the point that in the end I would wake up and then have to stay up for about 10 or 15 minutes just to get the dream out of my head. I looked up the meanings of them as best as I could and it was all down to stress and worry and telling me that I needed to make some changes in my life. I have not had any for a few weeks again now, I seem to get a spate of nightmares every so often.

I hate it when that happens, especially when the nightmare continues after you go back to sleep again. You worry that it might come true. I am happy that they have stopped now for you.

Well, I know I do dream from time to time, and sometimes I can remember them, and tell people what happened and when and then there are some that I have no idea except for maybe I know I was scared, jumped or something in my sleep and can sort of remember that. But a lot of the times the dreams I have I see snakes, or I am falling. One dream I used to have there for a while when I first started the job I have now, I was answering the phone still, and even asked my husband for his name and phone number. Since I dispatch Cabs for Yellow Cab, this is one of the main things I ask all of the time, and so sometimes after a really extremely busy day I would dream about this even in my sleep. Weird huh?

Think dreaming of snakes usually means deception, not sure have to check dream dictionary. That would be frightening dreaming of snakes, can't say I have ever dreamt that.

I used to have dreams of being chased by a banshee which had the power to fly. I would try to flee from her by flying away but I could not fly very high no matter how hard I flapped my arms. Sometimes she would chase me on foot and I would be attempting to run but be stuck. I would wake up in sweat just before she catches me.

What is a banshee, have not heard of thar before? What message do you think this dream is giving? Maybe you feel stuck in life and like you can't move forward - just my interpretation of your dream.

Thanks dizzblnd, for the definition of a banshee, that is creepy. I would not like to have reoccuring dreams of being chased by a banshee.

Dictionary.com gives this definition: "A banshee is (in Irish folklore) is a spirit in the form of a wailing woman who appears to or is heard by members of the family that one of them is about to die" What a scary dream. Maybe instead of the Irish folklore banshee, maybe your dream related to a boss or someone who was always "after you" to do something you didn't want to do?

Dreams are not as important to me now as before when I would be bothered by my dreams. I think my life has taken a turn for the better and this is probably why I am not dreaming important dreams now. Cheers!!

Hi Kiran-I have experienced occurring dreams but that was quite a while back..also I have seen things happen in my dreams before or just after they have a few times-I beleive all dreams have a meaning and they aare symbols from your unconcious..as we speak to each other during the day we understand what is being said..when we sleep our bodys are asleep but our brain is still on the go so to speak and sends us symbols which we have to learn to interpret..it could be a problem in your life and your brain is trying to help you with the answer and the only way it can do that is show you pictures/symbols for the answer. I have interpreted dreams for people before..as for myself never I can never fathom out what they mean-also if you dream in colour they have a great significance too-blessings littleowl
