I really don't know why! Olympic Games is not only things of Chinese,it belongs all of mankind. They destroying the torch relay not only hurt Chinese, but also hurt people all of the world, can I call it ANTIHUMAN? It's meaningless. Some people almost don't know what happened in China, they are only hostile Chinese. We need peace.I really want to stop them, but, what can I do ~

The olympic has the eyes of all the world on it. That is why it is such a powerful tool - either for peace or for protest. The whole idea of the olympics is that all people of the world come together in peace and compete like friends. I think that is kind of hard to do when the hosts act like the Chineese government does. I personally think it was a mistake to le China host the olympics until the issues the protesters adres was solved. having said that I have nothing against the chineese people, and I understand that it is hurtful to you. Still I think that the acts of your government are so inhuman that the people of the world have to voice their opinion. This is an excellent oportunity, due to the nature of the olympic movement

Thank you for your respond. I really want to know why do you said that our government is inhuman? How do you know that? Do you know? The slogan of our CCTV is "let the world know China"!In fact, foreign people know little about China! Sometimes, our government do something wrong, but it can't avoid. What we see is our government is try their best to make Chinese people have a better life! As I know,in many foreign countries,so many media reports about China are not true.I'm so sorry about that!

Well, Ï am not going to change my mind about your government even if you say that the news coverage here is untrue. I believe in the stories by Amnesty. I believe what the olympic comeety is saying when they tell us about their talks with the Chinese government. It is obvious to most of the world that there needs to be some changes made by China. The rest of the world is not just making this up. Why should they? Why is it that there are discussions about boycot in many countries? Why is it that athletes debate wether they should participate? Because there are serious problems with the Chinese government. For eksample: I belive in the photage from Nepal and Tibet and the exileds stories. I belive the people of Tibet are well within their rights when they protest against China in Nepal. I belive in freedom of speach, and that all political or human rights groups are allowed to express their views. I know your government wants Nepal to stop them saing they are illegal political groups performing illegal political activities. I believe China needs to stop this at once. Having said that I belivee China to be an exiting country with great citizens. I would very much like to see your beautiful country some day. I really do hope you will have a more humane government someday soon so that may be possible.

I fully agree that destroying the games torch is instead of getting good news is getting negative feeling for Tibet. Why be tools of political ideologies when it is supposed to be a tool for peace ? Why trouble others when it is your own domestic problems ? Both party to the conflict will have their points and should trash it out at the proper channels..... human rights. UN or whatever forums or avenues but to be s apoilsport ???? No the cause do not catch my sympathy...sorry! I felt disgusted that they stoop so low as to try and give problems to other countries by distrubing and misusing freedom to champion their cause.

Hey,guy, you are cheated. Now what you are thinking is what some countrys want. Those countrys give surpport to Dalai Lama. They spend money and tell others "look ,that's China! They really break our Olympic Games!!".That's why they just choose the Olympic TIME to help Tibet.China is trying its best to make Olympic Games successful. If you come to China, you can see the signs everywhere, said "one world, one dream!".Even though there are many people around the world misunderstand China, China still takes effort to make Olympic Games perfect. We just want people understand it.Can you see my point?Dalai is a useful tool for some countrys to beat China ,but they'll never make it. Have you ever been to China or Tibet? If you do ,I'm sure you'll never say so.

I agree that the olympic games and politics should not mix. But lets face it, there is no smoke without fire. If China wished to be a major player in the future world, perhaps it is about time that China's leaders listen and find out more as to why there is so much unhappiness with it. Being a superpower is more than just being able to send in the troops and crush all opposition.

I think it is sad. The Olympics used to be so great and everyone loved it. These days it seems the politics of the world is overshadowing the sports and the athletes. It seems it is the people of China that are suffering by all this turmoil and not the people in power. I just wish the Olympics could go back to the simpler days when it was the athletes turn to shine.

I think that I have to agree with Henry Ford who started the Ford Motor Company. Henry Ford said that "history is bunk." This means he had a low opinion of history as the truth is always relative to who writes it. In these discussions I always see so many arguements pro and con and I sometimes wonder this is the reason we cannot have world peace. Everyone has their own view of the "truth" and to them that is all that matters. I have lived from the end of WW II til now and have seen fault in all countries. No one country is the perfect country as people are not perfect governments are not perfect. My wife is from the Philippines and we have a house in the US and the Philippines and I know for a fact that life is getting harder and harder for everyone. I don't think the Olympic games will help anyone except the athletes. Germany had the Olympics in 1936 and all this showed was the arrogance of the host country and we did not learn from history and the world will have to keep repeating the same lessons over and over again. Just don't believe all you hear and half of what you see as we all have our own agenda and have to separate truth from fantasy. Good luck.

I really don't know why so many foreigners hostile Chinese. Before this Tibet issue,i all think that most of the countries in the world are friendly with China.and we all welcome them to have a nice trip in China. But why French treat chinese people that.the language is rude and unfair. Tibet choose this time to ask for independence. The purpose is so clear. Why we must contact the politic issue to the Olympic Games.they are different.Olympic Game exhibit the sport spirit. We only need is really the peace.
