what i would like to know is the best way in which you can get friends to join the site as i believe adding friends equals more cash. any info would be helpful?

Well if it's people you know, just send them your referral link. If you're looking for people you don't know, you can sign up for a lot of sites where you can post your link, Big Crumbs, Yuwie, any social site really, things like TrafficSwarm, etc.
