Hey I read your poem and rated, commented and I subscribed to it. I am the same way, I can't write poetry unless I'm feeling down. One of these days I will try to write a happy poem. :)

Yes poems to me are a way of expressing myself. I am the same way, when I write the words just flow together. I also write articles, blogs and short stories. You don't ned to know how to write a good poem because you already know how to. :)

thank you very much s cwilson-i actually quite liked your poem. i have never really shared any of my poems up until recently they were for my eyes only, not even my friends-well still not my friends. im certainly no expert on poetry, i do not know any of the basics, when i write i just like the words to floe together and mean something, sometimes you can set a scene, an emotion or even paint a picture to the reader through your words. to me poetry is an art and a way of expressing oneself artistically. the structure and set up of a poem means nothing to me-i either like it or i dont. i would like to know how to write a good poem though.

I think I am more prone to writing depressing poetry than happy poetry. I don't really even like happy poetry very much... I left you a comment on AC :) I have not been getting my notifications by email lately and i'm really missing a lot of new articles.

Same with me. I guess sad and depressing poems are more popular anyway. Wonder why you haven't been getting your notifications? If you don't get them soon you should send an email to admin@associatedcontent.com I think that is the right email address. Or you could go to the forum for some help. Good luck and thanks for the comment. :)

Hi there cwilson! I think that it is a good poem since you were able to express how you feel in it. It is depressing but if you feel that way, then there's nothing wrong with writing it down. I'm sure that at some point of others' lives, they have felt that way. Thank you very much for sharing your poem with us. I hope that tomorrow will be better for you.

Well thank you very much. Yes this is exactly how I express my feelings, by writing them down and when I am depressed, they just come out in a poem. It would be nice if I could write a happy poem but I can never seem to write poetry when I am happy. Anyway like I told the last responder, I am not sad all the time but this is how I express it when I am and it does make me feel a little better. :)

It is definitely a sad poem, and usually it is the sad or lyrical poems that are famous..however on my part I think with so much sadness around already we should try and force ourselve to give happiness

Well I'm not sad all the time but when I am this is how I express it. It is just a way to get the feelings out and makes me feel a little better. :)
