television and video games generating violent behaviour in teenagers

friends,do u think television is harming our young population.as child doesnot know what is good for them,when they are alone they view with curiosity violent movies.today to earn more directors,producers are making movies with excessive violence which penetrates unknowingly in the subconsious mind of child which comes out at any time when child is under pressure.so please save your child from watching tv programme containg violence.moms tell me how you are bringing up your child to make it good,loving,caring,responsible humanbeing

I do not yet have children, but have helped raise my ten nieces and nephews. I have to say that I could not agree with you more. Whenever I bring up a subject like this on Mylot, I get attacked. But the fact of the matter is, we did not have all the shootings at the schools when I was growing up.
We didn't have people shooting each other down on any corner for no apparent reason, becasue we did not glorify violence in the movies, television, and music back then. I do not watch violence and I would not allow my child to do it either. It's call responsible parenting.
