The cash starved world of the Internet

How many of us would even consider working for a few cents an hour in the real world? Why do hundreds of thousands of individuals jump at the opportunity to make a few cents an hour online when the same people wouldn't be willing to do any real work for the same amount in the real world? Perhaps it's a herd mentality that drives people to do what others do, regardless of whether or not it makes any sense. This is exactly what pyramid marketing schemes and referral systems (MyLot included) exploit. They encourage people like you and me to encourage others to do the same, rewarding us with some loose change in the bargain. We act like underpaid salesmen for the organization, recruiting resources for them in exchange for meager commissions and loose change.
