when i look at the world i don't know the world could have been without tech.

Development of technology started when man and woman started living together for procreation. Haven't we learnt from hisotyr, how the paper is made, electricity and telephone invented, nations discovered, steam engines to nuclear powdered engines were invented like that in every field of human activity, technology development has been on going process. I do not see any reason for sudden shut down of flow of technogical development.

dude great question... i don't have the answer sorry but isn't it just mind blowing to imagine life without tech.. I freak out if the power goes out for an hour..
