Nice question. But does the originality lose its importance the answer is a perfect no because original one leaves a best impression on the people mind always. So, no problem even if there is a remake. But it can be avoided and new stories can be played that would be a good idea.

yes there can be remakes made, but only if the do justice to the script; devdas is one such example, however scripts like sholay, Don are not relevant to todays world and hence remakes may not do justice to the script.

if remakes are made, you should just enjoy them as new movies....if you start comparing to the original, it'll be pathetic a s you can't compare them.
