mangled expressions

The other night my husband said something about a "lump in a lake". I think he was trying to say "bump on a log". But my favorite one that he did was "bouldering elephant" when he meant to say "lumbering herd of elephants". Is there anybody in your life who comes up with mangled expressions like that? What are they?

Oh, I think my sister knows what she means by calling me a charging rhino.
