A free home!!!

Wouldnt winning a free home make you very happy?!?!?!
I watch this tv network called, HGTV. I watch at least one show a day on this tv station. Anyways. They give away a free home every year. This year they are actually giving away 2! They already gave a way the first home, it was located in Florida.
Needless to say I did not win.
But they just built a new, green home (eco friendly)
So everyday I log on to their website, and sign up for the free home give away. This home is in N. Carolina. My boyfriend signs up every day as well.
Have you heard of this? Do you sign up?
Do you no something else, that is like this?

I enter the hgtv dream home every year. i enter every day it goes on and I have been doing it for ten years. I keep saying this is the year i will and I dont win. I am alos entering the green home. Hopefully some day my hard work will pay off. You just brought more competition my announcing this lol

I am in Canada so I am not aware of this particular contest. However there have been contests like this here at times. And really I haven't thought of entering, probably because the odds of me winning are against me. Maybe I have been missing out on a lot.. perhaps I'll chance it next time :) Not planning to move at anytime but you could easily sell the home and make some nice cash!

I've seen the show and while I absolutely love the home, I wouldn't want to live there.
It's not North Carolina, it's South Carolina, Hilton Head to be exact. It's a very expensive, posh area full of golf courses and tennis courts.
Definitely not my lifestyle!
Now if they want to offer me an eco-friendly home in the middle of nowhere with a barn and place for a garden, I'm there!

My boyfriend and I also try to remember to enter this sweepstakes everyday, and there is also another one to enter afterwards to win a free GMC truck. I would absolutely LOVE to win this home -- it's beautiful, FREE, and, as you mentioned, green/eco-friendly. I would like to win that truck, but it would be so amazing and make me so happy if my man or I were to win this prize! Good luck to everyone who enters!

I have never heard of this show, nor have I ever seen it. It would be nice if I could win a new house and not have house payments. But my luck isn't good enough even if I did sign up for it.

I watch HGTV, I love it and get some great ideas from it also, I think the home is 2 or 3 bedroom, I checked it out and there is no way me and all my crew would be able to fit in there, but a free home would be cool, Good luck too you, I hope you win it. :)

Now winning a free home especially an eco one would be brilliant. I own a home in the Dom Rep which is lovely and so don't really need another one!! But it would be nice to have one in the US (just a quick hop away on the plane!)
This seems a great prize and if I were you I would also be taking part, you never know - someone HAS to win it and one day it just may be you. Good luck
I don't know any other sites like this but I will look out for them and if I see one I will let you know.

Winning a free home would be fun and maybe helpful, but if you don't need one, you shouldn't sign up so quickly. Keep in mind that if you are given the home, you will be charged taxes each year. The HGTV homes are very nice and well-sized, and they would not have cheap taxes. They may also give you money if you win, but you must also know that the more they give, the more money you will have to pay in taxes every year. If you do not make enough money to pay for these taxes and keep up financially or do not understand financial problems, it's best that you wait to get a house until you really need it.
