If you are not familiar with what a traffic exchange is it is a site where you put links up to your sites such as your blog or if you are trying to get referrals to a site you can put that link up and people surf through the sites to get credits. you also have to get credits by surfing others sites and you use credits to advertise your site more. One of the best traffic exchange/social networks out there is traffic era http://www.trafficera.com/index_sp.php?ref=torkyn. traffic era is relatively new and is more fun to surf then any of the other traffic exchanges out there because you can talk with your team get rewards that you can use so that you gain more points per site you visit and lots of other stuff. If you are wondering what possible reason you would want to get more hits to your site is to get your google page rank and alexa rank up and to also get referrals for your PTC sites. http://www.trafficera.com/index_sp.php?ref=torkyn

Pagerank has nothing to do with the amount of traffic your site gets . PR is calculated by considering various factor and the most heavy factor that accounts in PR is Backlinks . The higher the numbers of backlinks from other sources the higher the PR will go ( Various conditions apply ) So for PR try to get more links pointing to your site and forget about traffic
