today (22nd April 2008) has been declared EARTH DAY worldwide.
but i think - as the earth has been severly hurt by our own hands, EARTH DAY should be called "SAVE THE EARTH" day and it should be 'celebrated' every week to remind us to take extra care to mother earth.
if the earth dies, there's NO WAY out for humanity to survive. not in the near future.

I do agree with you that most of us has abused Mother Earth and it is fortunate that a lot of people are already taking the time and effort in somehow contributing in their own way in saving earth. I hope we can all unite in this. Just my thoughts dear friend. Take care and have a nice day!
