Mattel must be losing their minds

I heard on the news yesterday that Mattel intends to increase the price of their toys, one of the reasons, they sited was the lawsuits from the lead paint debacle last year. Well I for one will not pay for their stupid mistakes. I didn't tell them to send the manufacturing over to China, I wasn't the one not paying attention and having the toys tested as they should have been, I feel that they should have done much more than they were doing to keep our children safe, so why should I pay? I sent everyone on my email list a plea to BOYCOTT MATTEL TOYS, until they come to their senses, and act like big boys, suck it up and take responsibility for their own mistakes. Please do not buy their toys.

Good idea, but it is going to take a lot more than that to make our products safer and to make companies think about people before profits! Even in China, the word is that some of those schools that collapsed were built with cheaper materials and were not earthquake safe!

I agree olivemai, but it is a start. When we as consumers just set back and allow these companies to continue making us pay for their mistakes, they will continue to use us as their cash cows. We have to be proactive, they sure are.

We may have to organize a boycott of most products, until we get safer and less expensive items soon! Even lipstick has lead in it, about seventy-five percent of lipsticks have lead in them!
