My Birthday!

My big day has finally arrived, and I am touched by the well wishes that I have received from friends and family. Surprisingly, I have received cards and well wishes from some of the sites that I frequent on the internet also. I have nothing special planned to do today. Some family will be over and I plan to hang out with my friend for awhile. I was so excited last night that I found it impossible to get to sleep.
I am beginning to think that getting older is not so bad. I have mellowed quite a bit, and I feel that I don't have to try so hard anymore-and that is a good thing!

Happy Birthday to you!! Isn't it nice when you don't feel as though you have to try so hard anymore? What a relief. I'm so tired of seeing celebrities on TV who are like 60 years old, who look like they're 35, and being made to feel that I also should look like that and try to be that young. Pooeey!!! Somebody's making a s**load of money off of our fears of growing old.

You're right, of course, cblackink, and even though my kids tell me I don't look anywhere near my age I let them know that I'm beginning to feel it. It's all good though, and I wouldn't have it any other way! Thank you.

I didn't need to cook, pyewacket, because the "kids" went out and got food, and my baby girl even bought me a birthday cake! It was a very nice day.
