A general Mylot question?

I just wanted to ask a few questions to those who have a significant amount of posts. How long have you been on Mylot? On Average, how much time will you spend here? How much do you make a day on Mylot? What techniques do you use to make sure that you do not miss a response to either a discussion you have created or a discussion that you have responded to? How do you get your inspiration on your responses and your discussion? Do you have any advice or tips that will help me get better at writing posts? I get a little discouraged because I try to make the discussions long and worth reading, but at times find that no one has responded to discussions. This may also be because not many people have that subject as as interest but for those subjects that have many members involved, I still find that my responses are minimal. Also, do you make money off of messages between friends?

I am not a mylotter with a signicant amount of posts, but i will respond to this questions as one of your avid readers and maybe as an editor (as i have been an editor before in our student publication back in college). maybe you want to try using spaces, like leaving spaces between paragraph. you may also want to break your discussion posts into paragraph first. reading a your posts sometimes hurts my eyes because its like looking face to face to a huge gray wall. your idea of blocking the questions i think worked, separating the questions from your answer. it has become less monotonous. but i think spaces between paragraphs may help. i know you don't have problems with getting read or with your ideas because i can see you have many responses in your other posts. so this suggestion only apply to the posting process. i don't know if messages between friends makes money. i don't think so.

Thanks for the suggestion,I know what you mean I have kind of wondered if putting spaces between paragraphs, but I have also though that you might get more money if you do not spaces, and I can understand that looking at long posts can hurt the eyes, and can get very boring, and I am glad to hear that you think bolding the questions helps, because my fiance gave me the idea, cause she said it would make it easier to see the questions and help me get more responses, most of my discussions dont seem to have trouble getting responses ,but a few of them have zero responses, and I am not sure if messages between friends makes money, but like you,I seriously doubt it.

you have an unusual idea there -- getting more money by not using spaces. have you proven it?

I havent really proven it yet,but I hope too be able to prove if it is true or not, besides my fiance usually does spaces when she is doing discussions but from what I can tell,it shows up without the spaces anyway, good luck, and Happy Posting.

well, i have been here for 4 month. i spend about 2 - 4 hours in a day. normally i get email for every response to my discussions and every comment for my responses. sometime i'm so picky so i spend a long long time to find the interesting discussion i will respond to. the other time i will just pick any discussions and respond them. i found that the discussions which get huge responses are usually carry simple topics, and short.

Thats cool that you have been here four months, and that you spend two to four hours a day on mylot,I can understand being picky cause I like looking for interesting discussions to respond too,and other times I will just pick alot of ones from my interests, and I know what you mean it seems that discussions with simple topics that are short usually do get alot of responses.
