How does mylot rate the posts?

Since I'm new on myLot, There're lots of things I'm still not very familiar with. Out of curiosity, can anyone tell me how does mylot rate all the discussion to decide their quality? Do they have a setting system to do so, or do they actually have staff checking all the topics and responds?

I also would like to know. I'm pretty sure myLot has a script that goes through and checks the responses.
