I think that federer and sampras are both great players who live in different times. Different times have different players, so it's very difficult to compare those two players. They are all my favourites.

umm... Pete Sampras and Roger Federer are both my favourites so its difficult for me to chose one so first i would like to just compare their styles.. first Sampras the man himself is a legend of his own his game as far as i think was very much dependent on his big and even then accurate serves which won him the game at the starting itself then was his volleying ability which made him a good one at the net too. His shots down the line just made his opponents to watch and applaud. on the other another legend or the legend in the making Roger Federer this guy has a good serve too which bails him out at very crucial moments but the strongest point of his is his return of serve which makes it impossible for the opponent to return and one cannot forget about his passing shots and the one handed backhand one of his strengths .Winning 12 grand slams is no fluke by any means..

They both played 3 exibition matches around six months back and sampras managed to win a match convincingly,it proves that after being out of the game for such along time sampras can still beat the champion because he is the champion of champion's.
