Which Harry Potter actor has changed the most from 1st movie to 5th?

Other than the obvious change of actors for the Dumbledore character, which of the child actors do you think has changed the most as they've grown up? I think it might be actor playing Neville. Remember what he looked like in movie 1? What do you think?

Everybody did change...But the most noticable change of all is Neville. He really lost all his baby fat and looks more manly than the cute child Neville we've seen in the first movie. One person whose change was also noticeable is Dudley....He's not that fat anymore... I watched a behind the scenes clip and the production staff told the viewers how they had to "stuff" Dudley coz he's losing weight...haha

yea, he actually looked handsome in the behind the scenes clips...but when it came to the movie, he looked more scary than handsome..haha

Now that is an excellent question. They have all changed so much from the first movie to the last. I agree Neville has changed a good deal. He's had a major growth spurt and he's lost the chubby cheeks he had before. I think though the one who seems to have changed the most is Rupert Gint. He too has had the growth spurt and lost the chubby cheeks but he's had a major voice change as well. On top of that he seems to have filled out more muscle wise. The others have grown up as well and changed but he sticks out to me as changing the most.

Ginny had grown up but she didn't seem to have the curves yet that Hermione has. That might change though in the next year or so, one never knows.

I think Emma is getting better and better. that is the only difference I noticed.

I feel Crab and goyle have changed a lot...one of them has even become thin...they both used to be so chubby...even hermione has changed a lot......she looks very cute now....

O.K. I just have to say it! Dumbledore changed the most! First he was Richard Harris, then he got a round face and a cheek wart.
Of course, my second choice would definitely be Neville. He's showing his growth into manhood much more than the others. This is probably because he was such a doofus puffball at the beginning.

I knew somebody would say Dumbledore, hehe. As it turns out though, don't you think that it was just so serindipitous (sp?) that they cast that actor as Neville because the fact that he was such a "doofus puffball" in the beginning and now grows into a respectable man by book 6 & 7 is exactly how the character was written. I mean, what if they had cast someone who grew up kinda doofussy anyway, it just would have made the Neville character hard to believe.

i think it was "harry" he was too cute in the first few movies then he started to look older he looked much better when he didnt have his banges sticking up! it says in the book his hair is JET black and messy but his hair started to look dark brown and jelled

Yeah, Harry definitely has grown up from those first cute movies. I was more surprised by Ron though. I think him grown up doesn't look like I thought he would given what he looked like when he was young. But Harry to me just looks like a grown up version of his younger self. Hermoine as well. I think Ron and Neville changed the most from their young selves to their grown up selves. JMO. By the way, welcome to mylot. Hope you have lots of good discussions.

I think the person who has changed the most is Daniel Radcliffe. If you look at the first movie, he's is so small and little. Now in the fifth movie, its like he had a growth spurt or something. He's like almost fully grown now.

well, surely they are changing as they are growing up. i didn't notice who has changed the most. the only thing i notice is....emma watson is growing cuter and cuter.

True, true, they are all changing, but I think Harry and Hermoine look like grown up versions of their younger selves, whereas Neville and even Ron, I'm not sure I would know their younger selves if I hadn't seen them from one year to the next. I think it's great too, because Neville's character becomes so much braver over the years, so the fact that Neville, the actor, doesn't look like a pudgy-faced scaredy cat anymore makes it more believable.

the 3 lead stars really did change and they are more cuter than they were in the 1st movie. I do agree with the change in the looks of neville, espcially when he was just a little kid just then, and now he is very tall.
I think there's also an obvious change in the looks of ginny weasley.

I can't wait to see what Ginny looks like in the 6th movie, especially since this is where she and Harry get together. I've been scouring the web looking for pictures of her now but there are not many I've found. Some of her pictures still look very young. I hope she's beautiful now for the scene with Harry.

well all of them. They all have grown right in front of owr eyes . they have pratically spent their entire childhood in front of the cameras
