Well, I guess maybe because they are jsut people. I think you're looking for along the lines of a friend or maybe even a true friend. Being there for people is fine and good but dont expect much from people because they are jsut that : people. But when you ask if you were there for a friend then when you then them they ar enot for you then I think that thats a different story. I think either they really cant help you especially those situatons when they want to help you but only you cna save yourself. I think true friends will be there for you despite anything but people will not because they are not attached to you in anyway. It just so happens that you live in the same world and you breathe the same air, nothing more and nothign less. The mailman can be classified as a person but when he is sick or has the day off then he wont be there to deliver your mail, another mailman will be assiged to deliver it. I hope you understand what I am trying to say and be sure to differentiate the term 'people' which is more commonly and widely used from 'friend', which can be used to a lot of people but not all and not most. Hope that helps, goodluck.^_^
