wishing on a star

When I was young I had a book about stars and the different signs i.e. the 7 sisters etc. I like stars not that they mean a lot to me but i always say to my son if he says about a star being in the sky alone 'make a wish honey, wish on the first start you see!' I guess its always been a saying wish on the first stat you see.
