So, do you think Ben lied to Sayid about his wife?

So, we now know how Sayid was hired by Ben to be a hit man.
I think Ben definitely lied to Sayid about who killed his wife. Sure, he had a photo of the man and said he was in the area, but I don't recall seeing any writing that indicated that it was the truth.
So, what does everyone else think?

yeah I thought he acted like a coward I actually thought he was going to sneak out and leave the rest behind when he went to unleash the smoke monster...wasn't that freaky? I just posted a discussion too about when he went to see Charles Widmore, they mentioned his daughters name was Penelope do you think that this is the same Penelope that Desmond was in love with, could explain why the first woman that parachuted on the island (the one Lock killed) had the picture of the 2 of them.

Yeah, I'd bet that's exactly why Naomi had a picture of them. Perhaps he wanted her to contact Desmond or something. We'll never know, now.
I found it interesting that Ben told Locke that it was very important that he stay alive. It wasn't too long ago that Ben shot him.

I know the popular theory going around is that Ben actually put the hit out on nadia himself, but I am thinking that instead this was the man who killed Nadia and Ben showed up with the purpose to take advantage of that. does anything I said make sense?

Sure, that make just as good sense as the popular theory. You never know with these writers that they've got.
