Did anyone else catch this?

Did anyone catch on to the name Penelope when Ben went to see Charles Widmore and said he was going to murder his daughter(Penelope) because he murdered Alex...could this be the same Penelope that Desmond was in love with? That could explain why he thought it was her boat searching for him. Let me know what you think...coincident????

I know there have been a few episodes where Penelope's last name of Widmore was mentioned a few times. Also, I believe there was an episode where Desmond went to see her father and it was definitely Charles Widmore he went to see. So, yes, it's the same person. I just love this interconnectivity these characters have!

You're welcome. But, I don't know if she knows everything her father is doing. However, I do know she is helping him find the island. When they had that one "magnetic event" that Locke caused by not putting those numbers into the computer, Penny got a phone call from some kind of scientific facility about it and I think she, in turn, called her father about it. But, I'm not sure about that as much as I am about both of the Widmores being father and daughter.

Yes, this is the exact same Penelope! In anther episode Desmond met with her father and it is the same man so Ben is going to try and kill her!

Yep, it's the same person.
Now, I want to know if anyone else noticed that the taxi that Ben took to the hotel in London was on the wrong side of the street. Unless, of course, it was a one-way street. Anyone else catch that?

I would just like to point out (before anyone makes any smart comments) that I KNOW which side of the road they drive on in England. This taxi pulled up to the curb like he was driving in America.

I think that when you get far enough into the characters of Lost, all of them are connected to one another, at the very least by six degrees of separation. There is at least one website I've seen that shows the connections between the characters, and it's kind of neat to see!

I guess you didnt watch past seasons of lost. Penelope is explicitly presented as Withmore's daughter. Desmond has talked to Charles amny times before he ended on the island, he even asked Charles for ther hand in person (if i'm not wrong we were even shown the same scene of Des asking Charles to marry her twice in different episodes).
So its pretty much not a coincidence, its an explicit statement.

yeah I have watched it...maybe missed some of the 1st season I guess there are just too many people, names and flashbacks/forwards to remember everything, not to mention we get 4 new episodes then 4 weeks of repeats etc etc but yeah we've already established that she is
