I was named after my aunt as she and my mother were are very close sisters in fact now that my father has passed away they live together. My son was named after his grandpa and his great grandmother as his first name is Joseph his fathers middle name was Joseph and his great grandmas name was Jospehine. My daughter was named after my mother and my granmother. Her name is Ashlee the spelling of lee come from my mothers middle name is Lee and her middle name is May which was my grandmothers middle name.

In my family with people being named after each other, there are a lot of repeat names, in the family. Because of this my mom wanted different names for her children. LOL the year I was named, the name my mom liked my father didn't, and so I was named after a witch on a soap opera. Yes use the b, for witch. LOL As it turns out the name I have is short version or one of the dimiuatives for the name my mom wanted, unfortunately her desire to get names that are different backfired, the year I was named it was the number one name in the country and remained the number one name for a girl in the USA for ten years. So... lol instead of having a name that was different I have one that is very common.
