Has anyone seen the new Mylie Cyrus photos?

Mylie Cyrus is Disney Channel's Hannah Montana and she has a big following among kids and they say she could be as big as Elvis. I was surprised to see on tv that she did a photo shoot which was not so "teenybopper-ish" if that word still exists. Not really racy, the photos were to my mind, I did not see many of them but the target audience were adults and they feel she has made a bit mistake posing for this magazine spread, vogue I think.

kinda creppy to me to see this girl on this cover that shes 15 ..like if it was suppose to be sexy , what of Mylie Cyrus is sexy ? why would Sexy and Mylie Cyrus be used in the same sentece ....its just creepy all around , and shes just smiling all the way to the bank ..next thing you know maybe even 5 and 8 year olds will be half naked on mag covers giving their pediofile creeps the pleasure ..i say what is this Country thinking ?

There was a big brouhaha a while back when the very young (pre-teen, I think) Brooke Shields made a movie of an adult nature. The only difference in this case is that Mylie is way more popular than Brooke was in those days.

Money does get into the equation and in this case, I can imagine some really serious money is being considered here and the reaction of the public could make or break anyone's career well, maybe not break but there will definitely be some impact.

I think the big problem people had was that 15 is just too young to be posing for photographs like that. Whether she was actually topless or not, I dont know, but that was certainly the impression that was intentionally given. I'm certainly no prude, but I found the photos to not be in very good taste. And more importantly, I think they are bad photos. Not very flattering to her.

That is very interesting. I did not see the photos myself but what I had was a short glimpse when they were flashed on tv. Bill O'Reilly had a big to-do about Miley when he called her probably the greatest thing after Elvis and now he has been shocked out of his socks from seeing this very different career move that Miley Cyrus has made.

I dont know what the big deal is really nor do i understand why she is upset about it..I've seen a couple of the pics and they are tastefully done...I think some ppl are just blowing it out of proportion really and Mylie is reacting to that...

I believe that the whole brouhaha is about money. Disney has invested a lot and hopes to make a whole lot out of Mylie being forever young and for Mylie to suddenly transition into someone older don't really fit into their plans.

Personally I did not see anything wrong with the pictures. What raises a concern though is that kids as young as 8 years old, mostly girls are in love with this girl. I could see some parents with young children being upset about this. From what I am hearing The Disney Channel is also quite upset about these pictures. I guess they see it as another snag for them. First with Jamie Lynn Spears getting pregnant, star of Zoey101, and now these pictures. With the family also having strong religious values I do not understand why the parents would have consented to her photos. I guess Mylie thought it was time to branch out to the little boys. I can see a lot of young teenage boys having that poster plastered on their walls

Very clearly these are career moves and they could be testing the waters for some future directions. I think it is very canny of the Mylie Cyrus camp to try and find out what the reactions will be on all sides. As has been pointed out, the photos were tastefully done and the only problem was the audience these photos were catering to. Mylie can't be a Disney girl forever and 15 in today's entertainment industry is close to the edge of the youth genre.

As mentioned above, they were tastefully done, a little bit of her bare back was exposed, some skin but she was well-covered.
