Do you find that Mylot has helped your quality of life at all? Have you really learned anything on here? I have found that I have become more understanding and patient with people thanks to Mylot. It has opened my eyes even more to different people around the world. Also, more than one person that I have referred has told me that they really enjoy Mylot more than they ever imagined and that it gives them a really good feeling to be a part of it. How has it affected you? Has it at all? Good, Bad, indifferent? Has it changed your life in any way?

To say that mylot has a therapeutic effect on me is an understatement. To me, its like a world all of itself. When I step into mylot world, my world vanishes, along with the days troubles, worries, and disappointments. Unfortunately time passes differently here, I came for a 30 minute visit a few days ago and before I knew it, it bacame a 3 hour tour.

Very nice, thanks for your comments. I am really glad that you find it therapeutic in some ways. It is good to have an avenue to vent and just open up. Good thing that your 3 hour tour didn't end up like Gilligan's.

The best quality of life I could ever ask for is to spend the rest of my life with you buldwgz! (oops, did I give it away?) Anyhew, yes, since I have started mylot, it has made me realize that I am not alone in this crazy, messed up world. There are people out there who really understand first hand, some of the same things I'm going through. Outside of work, my family and home, I'm pretty much a hermit. We, I mean My husband and I, love to spend time with each other in some way. I like to stay home. I've never been a "bar hopper" or party goer. However, I can and do have fun at parties, if my hubby is there too:)

Sounds like your husband is a great guy. Thanks for your response and you will find that many of us, though different in many respects, are essentially the same.

I think it is great to talk to people from all around the world. Sometimes I don't think I realize how lucky I am, and myLot has really opened my eyes to some of that.

Good point kykidd. This forum can make us realize that no matter how bad we may have some things, there are people who are truly struggling in areas of life far worse. Thanks for your response.

I have not really been on as much as I thought I would when I first signed up so it is hard to say. Maybe I will be on more and notice a difference. I do learn something every time I come on it seems, so that is good.

hi buldwgz, i was just thinking about this before your post caught my eye. i am a stay at home mother and seldom get to talk about "my feelings" or thoughts that do not involve runny nose or glitter! posting and discussion has increased the quality of my day. i can be totally myself and pick what subjects i want to talk about. who knows tomorrow i might start a discussion on how to get gold glitter out of the carpet ...and the cat!

LOL, good luck with the cat. I hadn't even thought of the ability to communicate with other adults like that, see how this forum truly can bring quality. It is good that you can open up and be yourself. Sometimes, on my days off when my wife is at work, this is the only time I get to communicate with other adults. Thanks for the response, shannonjyl.

I love that I get to talk to people from all over the world on an equal basis - no distrust, no animosity, just commonality. I like to think that I'm calmer because of this - I can vent safely and voice my opinions and can take greater care with what I say. I hope in the long run that helps me in the face to face world. That's a great question, though.

You make very good points Jerzgirl. I am glad that Mylot helps you in pretty much the same way it helps me out. Thanks for the response.
