retrievers and water...UGH!!

So I have a golden retriever and, by nature, they love water. We went for a walk and she went in every little bit of water there was...and let me tell you we have a lot of water on this property!! (Even a teeny waterfall in one spot!)
She had a blast getting wet and didn't care if it barely covered her toes or went up to her chest! Talk about muddy..oh, and who can forget the lovely odor of wet dog...?

My golden is the same way. He has to romp through every puddle. When we water the flowers with the garden hose, he will bark and jump around until you spray him with the stream. He is convinced hoses were invented solely for his enjoyment. We actually have to roll it up and hide it in a deck box to keep it in one piece when we go in. He already destroyed the last one by dragging it around the yard and playing with it. 1 person likes this

I as well have a retriever so I know what you are going through...LOL they love water...Mine loves going to the Beach, but the odor of mud, sand and salt water on his fur is sometimes nauseating!
