Hello Guys, I am in the United States, but very much want to send Tropical Fruit (preferrably gift basket form)to somebody who is in Hokkaido, Japan. I have been searching all over the internet to try to find a place with no luck. No luck. I'm also not too well off so couldn't afford a chaotic price, but have any of you every tried this, even if you are not in the U.S.? If there were some stores in Japan that have ENGLISH written/speaking websites/staff, that would be the best to send. All searches seem to come up mainly with just U.S. stores, and no place does so far. Any feedback, suggestions, connections, website addresses would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Thanks so much, Sir Bobby for that idea. Yes, it is an idea, I haven't considered as seems too hard. I'd have to find a local place, and then wrap the whole thing, and then figure out best way to package. Too bad I couldn't send it by boat! ha! Hmmm, I think I'll keep looking. She is quite elderly, and I want to send it as soon as possible. :o) Thanks again. Arigato.

WCH, Thanks so much for the dankedanke.com site. I don't have time to look into it thoroughly enough yet, but from what I read on teh first couple of pages, it seems like a great place. But may take a lot of work to set thigns up. Gosh, I need to learn how to read Japanese, don't I? :o) But I have done so much searching, and never had found this site you gave me. Thanks. Putting it into my address book. Thanks again!!!

Hi Chocolate, Air mail (like USPS, I assume) is a possibility. But putting the basket together myself or getting it is a lot of work. And not sure if Air Mail would be safe, as that is regular mail. And known to throw around the packages. I'm still searching, but thanks for the response. I appreciate it.
