I was not nervous when I sang a solo at the church contest, but I felt before I went on, that I will forget my song. I am a person who gravitates to the loudest sound, so I have to really practice and memorize the song. I thought I was going to forget because Trevor was before me. And he is the most powerful singer in the church. Why I bet the whole neighborhood heard him. Now me, I am soft, and iit takes a lot of force for me to get someone to hear me at the back. So when I got on the steps at the front of the church, I forgot all about the breathing, I had the accompanist play the first few notes because although I can remember the middle part, I sort of forget the beginning. I was not sacred of the audience, I forgot to breathe, I cut some of the notes short, I did not open my month long enough and when the Christmas comes, I am going to outdo Trevor.

Hello, thank-you for your comment. Ja, I know that feeling, that is why I always have my music in my sight. I don´t need it, but somehow it keeps me convident for the moments I do forget what verse is first. hahaha! I wrote my own music, so people automaticly think I remember every word. Even when you write your own songs, you can get a moment that you forget something. I remember about 17 years ago, I used to write music to play my gitar in church. There I was very nervous. This time I was not as nervous. Probably because I have become older. hahaha! Good Luck when the Christmas comes. Take care.

Yes, many times I have been nervous. I am singing myself on stage or infront of people. So everytime I get to do that, I am nervous as well. I have realized that I can only give 50 percent of my best when I am nervous. And it's really difficult since I cannot breathe fully and starts to loose control of the microphone when at stage. But I must say my performances weren't that bad. It's just that, I was thinking, if I did not become nervous at those times, I could have performed better. That's good for you. More power. Continue your stuff and I am sure you will find your hearts content in doing what you really like.

Thank you very much for your comment. It has been two days know, but I was so tired! Today is the first day on my computer. The day after the singing I was working for the second time in a bar. It was very busy, and I am still trying to find all the bottles and some of the people ask for drinks I have never heard of befor. hahaha! I am living in Berlin for a little over a year. I understand German, but don´t speak it very well. But, the day I got to sing was just great! I never expected to really get appriciated. Especially because most Germans I know don´t speak english. I cannot find myself interested in a song I cannot understand. Can you? The first half hour I played my gitar and sang. The next half hour I sing my own songs with my cd. The last half hour again I played the gitar and sang. It was fun! I was not as nervous as I normally was. Maybe because the DJ was there too. So I did not feel so alone. If something were to go wrong, he could always put on a cd. But you are so right, when I remind myself I am nervous, I would automaticly mis one accord, from my gitar. No one noticed, hahaha! But, when I concentrated on being calm as if I were at home. it worked. I was okay. The people were all happy, and that is what makes me happy. What kind of music do you sing? Thanks for your encouragement, means alot to me. Good luck, and power to you too. Take care.
