How fast can you beat Super Mario Bros. 3? What's the world record?

I've heard of some people doing speed runs. I know with the warp whistles, it can be done quicker. I've never really attempted a speed run. How about you?

I play it a lot on my game boy advanced, its a bit easier but you can save the game which is an advantage. I think my fastest with the whistles is about 20 minutes. I think theres some videos on youtube of people doing it in 10 though. Gona have to get faster...

20 minutes is pretty good! Yeah, I'm sure there are videos on youtube of people doing it. I was kind of trying a speed run on my friend's Wii the other day. Then I got to World 8 with not enough items and I started sucking. Man, it had been such a long time since I played that game. I must've been rusty!

I remember that game!I loved it...I have never tried a speed run...I am going to have to find that game and try a speed run...:)

Best of luck to you! If you have a Wii, you can download it off the shop channel. There's also a version on the GBA (as the next person said), as well as the one that's included in Super Mario All-Stars (also includes SMB1, 2 and The Lost Levels) for Super Nintendo. Either way, it's not a rare game, so I don't think you'll have too much trouble finding it!
