Who has GTA 4?

gta 4 - A picture of GTA 4. This new version of GTA came out for the PS3 and Xbox360 on April 29th, 2008. The game uses the new Euphoria engine which was previously used in Rockstars table tennis game. An exciting new approach to the game, it take place in the fictional liberty city (modeled after New York) and features illegal immigrant and gun for hire Niko. Niko is a troubled man. He came to Liberty City seeking fortune promised by his cousin, but found a bad apartment and a drug addicted lying cousin. Now he is out to make it for himself and complete his own motives. This game has received near perfect scores from every game reviewer to review it thus far.

GTA 4 came out yesterday, April 29th, in America. A revolutionary game in the series, it uses the new Euphoria game engine that allows the game to generate new animations on the fly using detailed software programming. This means every action is a little bit different. The game has received almost perfect marks across the board from almost every game reviewer so far. It features Niko, an illegal immigrant coming to America with promises of fame and fortune from his no good lying cousin. He finds a broken apartment and a promise of a future. He is a gun for hire, ex military, and will do what is asked of him. The game follows niko and allows the gamer to make choices that affect the gameplay. there are at least 2 possible endings to the game, and it features multiplayer for up to 16 people. The game certainly looks good, and my copy should arrive in the mail tomorrow, GTA 4 special edition pack for the PS3. So do you have GTA 4 or have it on order? For what console? What is your opinion on the game? Dan

My boyfriend bought it the night it came out. He was waiting in line at GameStop when they opened the doors. I personally don't play it, but I do like the graphics. It is so much more realistic than the other GTA's. Of course that is what should be expected with all the latest technology. I find the storyline better too. I hope you are enjoying yours.

I am enjoying it very much. The characters look and move very realistically. They have flexibility when they die like humans, but they don't do the flailing rag doll thing when they die. It's like they have actual skeletons stuff. Very fun, especially when you crash and go flying on a bike. And the storyline is good and compelling. You don't feel the need to do it just for the sake of completing it or getting to the next island. Its pretty compelling. Dan

I would highly recommend it. The storyline is awesome and the online gameplay alone makes it worth $60. Thanks for the response! Dan

Hey Dan, I didn't personally buy the game but there's three gamers at my work (perhaps you can look at my discussion?) They all went to Walmart at 12AM to buy the game, two of them called off from work to play it. The first guy is using two of his personal days to play it, the other person didn't use any days but called in sick. The other guy stayed up to 5AM and came into work the next day (real tired). They all said they loved it and think it's real cool. It sounds very interesting! Pablo

Yeah, I saw that discussion. I can sympathize with them and understand why they did it, but I don't think I'd do it myself. Maybe if I was having a really crappy couple of weeks I'd take a "mental health day" for a new game, but I wouldn't do it *just* because the game came out. If I was really excited about the game I could see myself scheduling for someone to fill in with me or taking a scheduled personal day maybe. It is a lot of fun. One of the best games I've played in a while. Thanks for the comment by the way! Dan

I was sure the protagonist would be Russian but actually he is from Serbia. That's not a big deal. The thing is it's only out for PS3 and Xbox 360 making it impossible for me to own. The PC version must be released!
