how do you promote?

I use my profile here as one of my promotional tools, and also my Yuwie page! You don't want to put your links in the discussions, but its ok to put them in your profile page. Check out my profile page for an idea of where to start.

I promote my blog through several methods. Social bookmarking, participating in like-minded forums and message boards, commenting on similar blogs, making all my family and friends read it, etc, etc. There are so many ways to promote. You just have to start putting yourself out there and develop a fan base. I don't deal too much with referral links.
