listening to the music can be devided into three levels

we are all listening to the music according to our own capacities, the listening process can be divided into three seperate levels.
the simplest way is to listen for the pleasure of the musical sound, the second is to get access to the feeling exprssed through the music, the third level is the musical level, we hear the melodies, the rhythms the harmonies and follow the line of the composer's thought~~

I think this is such a good discussion. Yes listening to music could be in separate levels as you have rightly said. When we are in light mood we just sing along to songs which have easy, catchy tunes and rhythms. When we are secluded we kinda listen to songs having deeper implications, we stress on the lyrical quality and the feel of the song. And the musical buffs they listen to harmonies, symphonies, classics and try to get into the soul of it.
