That's right...you see it. New Kids on the Block. Remember those 9 an 1/2 hit wonders? Before Donny got arrested, before Jordan started knocking up girls, before Joey went solo to do Tick Tick Boom, Dancing with the Stars, and the all so popular (culture) hit...say what kareoke on mtv! Back to a time before the Y generation had to care about anything except whether or not we were going to get a sticker on our next vocabulary quiz. It was wonderful and I never appreciated it as much as I should have. Now don't get me wrong...I don't want to go back and do it all over again (I'd be an even more awkward 3rd grader at 5'7 trying to fit into those desks)...I just wish that I had enjoyed it while it was there. Everything was such a big deal, but looking abck on it, in fact so amazingly simple. Not Amish simple, but just fun! Well, now I know why old people like to go crazy and have fun and just play bingo. There's no responsibility, nothing to worry about, just living everyday to the fullest. Well, here's the deal. I don't want to wait until I'm 80 to figure that out, so I'm gonna do it now! So there ladies and gentlemen...New Kids on the Block did serve a purpose. To make us look back 10 years down the road and wonder...what the heck were we thinking?
