I'm talking about the incredibly moving Maria episode. This was the most moving episode of Coronation Street I've ever seen, and I still feel really affected by it whenever I think about it. I think it was done really well and that they handled a very difficult subject sensitively and realistically. I'm sort of in two minds about whether they should have shown so much detail given how emotional it made me feel even though I've (thankfully) never been in that situation. I can only imagine how disturbing this episode would have been for somebody who's had to go through it in real life. It was brave of the production team to do such a storyline and it was right to do it, as sadly it happens in real life, and soaps should portray real life. What do you think?
