Do you agree or disagree with this statement.Having lived in both country and the city.I am inclined to favor the city as a place to raise children. Not every city,of course is equally desirable.some cities are extreamly dangerous, whereas thers are relatively safe and pleasant,.

I've grown up near a "city" that houses some 170.000 people and here would be a perfect place for my children to grow up aswell. Then again the capital, Helsinki, I wouldn't want to raise my own children there. It's a cold place. The country side than again might be a good choice. But I think I would go somewhere in between and choose a small town. It provides plenty of opportunities for the children aswell as the adults, but isn't too work/achievement oriented culturalwise and the touch to community is tighter.

Both options have positives and negatives for children growing up and it's pretty hard to decide which would be the best. Perhaps the best thing would be to raise children who were used to the conditions of both the city and the country. That way they would be more likely to be balanced and less likely to be led by social prejudices.
