does using remote makes us lazy?

with the advent of remotes we have started doing less and less of work. Now we have got remotes for everything...................... for the television, for the air conditioner, for the computer, for the music system and also for many other things. So now a days all we have to do is to sit at a place and use the remotes and it will do the work for us. So we are getting too sedentary. And this is despite the fact we are not doing enough work to compensate for this job. Well what do you think about this. And how much remotes have influenced your lives.

I dont think using remove makes us lazy. Technology doesnt make us lazy, it makes us smarter. But its possible it still enhances the lazy ones.

In my opinion, remotes really help us to do things more convenient. It's really up to you how you utilize it and not to be more lazy with the help of remote controls.

I think that is pure laziness-these technologies really kill us instead-it is pure laziness!

I don't think so. :) I could operate the tv with or without the remote or other appliances. ;) No problem for me getting up and turning the switch or pushing buttons directly without the use of remote. :)

hello LoovesAmethyst, thanks for responding to my discussion, if that is the case then that is very good .... at least you are active unlike people who get more and more sedentary after using such supportive things. to make things worse people are now using remotes for refrigerators, light switches and even the washing machines.... all work sitting at one place. have a good day and keep posting.

Dear friend, I hope it is a part of technology advancement. Lazy people may use this technology in negative way or may be this technology could give a negative impact for lazy people. But I do hope being lazy is getting rest for some and those who are lazy more than getting rest is really negative side. Remote is really a worthy invention and if used properly it well and good. We know technology has both the positive and negative sides.

hello SHAMRACK, well i do agree with you, also to add on that i would like to say that the lazy people always need some reason to be lazy and for that they find out all kind of ways. if someone wants to be active then he or she can be that despite all kind of comfort provided to them. and inventions like remote control are just one of the reasons that these people use to justify their inactivity. thanks a lot for responding to my discussion. have a good day here at mylot and happy postings!
