My daughter has two imaginary friends that follow us everywhere. One is called Bimba, the other she calls Harry Potter. Peter Pan also flies around our car while we're driving sometimes too. My daughter is three and an only child. Is here being an only child the problem. I'm thinking when she goes to preschool these imaginary friends may go away? Not that I mind that she has these "friends", it's just a little wierd sometimes. Did you have imaginary friends when you were little? Did your children have/do your children have imaginary friends?

My eldest son did have imaginary friends when he was about 2 or 3. He had a whole world of dinosuars living under his bed. He used to play with them quite regularly. But as he got older they were forgotten. My daughter also use to have imaginary spiders living under her bed, who she made friends with. But again as she got older she grew out of this stage. I have been told it is quite normal for a child to have imaginary friends and in time they will grow out of it. It also shows what a great imagination children have.
