MyLot earnings question

I was just wondering what the reasoning behind the payout schedule is? Why arnt the payouts done immediately after you post? I'm assuming it is so that the MyLot employees can review all of the activity and score points accordingly. Just something random I thought of earlier and didn't see in the FAQ.
