Do you still have your morning cup of coffee/tea on very hot summer mornings?

Yes, I am like many folks out there who need their coffee first thing in the morning. It's just so relaxing and tasty and it wakes me up. I am sure caffeine doesn't even affect me anymore, so it must be psychological. I just love my coffee in the morning. But last summer here in New York was crazy hot! My husband and I couldn't bring ourselves to drinking coffee anymore on those hot days. You know, when the day starts off muggy and hot already. We live in a small, second floor apartment so maybe it was especially terrible for us. We didn't even need it since the heat prevented us from sleeping too well. We also have a 3 year old that gets up pretty early! Anyways, did the heat stop you from having your morning coffee or tea?

During the cooler months, I always drink my hot coffee or tea. But in the summer months I switch to having my iced tea. I live in Louisiana, so since it is already nearing 90 degrees here on a daily basis, I have switched to iced tea now.

I am not really a coffee person any longer, occassionally I have a cup of tea in the mornings. For me now I drink a cup of warm water, which is said to take the flatulence off your stomach.

I don't really like to drink my tea so much when it gets hot. Part of the reason why I drink tea in the first place is to warm me up. I don't drink tea with caffeine, so I know that's not why I like to drink it like some people do. However, in the summer, I sometimes make Iced Tea from the same type of tea that I drink hot. I hear that iced coffee is good, too.
