How to best punish a cat?

I saw a video on You Tube the other day an Engineer's guide to cats. It was freaking hilarious! The dude used something called cor pal cuddling on his cats as punishment. Awesome! How do you disicpline your cats?

I used to spray them with a water bottle as kittens (on "stream" works best), and still do from time to time if they're misbehaving.
