I went to this cookout once and had the best hamburgers ever. When I asked what was in them I was told egg. I think there was also pepper. Does anyone know how you make a hamburger with an egg? Does this really make the hamburger taste good. I bought a can of salmon once, and followed the directions to make salmon burgers by adding and egg. They were delicious. My kids even loved them. I wonder if you just cook the hamburgers the same way. What else should I add to the hamburger, other than egg and pepper ... if this works?

in the market where i buy ground pork or beef that i will use for hamburgers... i buy the por or beef not yet ground. then i will tell them to ground it. and i will give them carrots celery and onions together with the beef to be ground. when i reach home i put salt and pepper to taste. i put egg also to hold it all together. if you cant find a place where they can ground the veggies for you then just minced it at home. it will be a lot of work but this taste superb. hope you like the way i did my burgers.

Haha. My friends and I we're just talking about this last night. They were all laughing at me 'coz I never thought that eggs and hamburger could go together?! Lolz. Well, it just never occurred to me, and I've never been to a store which sells them either. So there. I just had to reply to this post. Sorry though, 'coz I have no idea when it comes to cooking. But my friends did mention that in this one store, they simply make a burger the old fashioned way, fry an egg, and place it along with the burger patty. Sounds pretty simple to me. Oh, and they also add lots of ketchup, 'coz they say eggs go very well with it. Haven't tried it yet, I'm afraid. Some day.. Haha.
Good luck with the burgers, jalucia! I'm sure your kids will love anything you make for them, so long as it comes from the heart. Aww.. Lolz!
xoxo,
ajhie.

Don't be sorry, your post is a delight. The burger that I ate, and the salmon burger that I made, must have had the egg mixed together with the meat before cooking. But, now that I see all these posts, I'm gonna have to try it with the egg right on top of the burger. And, I never eat an egg withuot ketchup. It's just automatic. Nowadays, I put salsa on top of my eggs. You really have to try it. My kids like it :) (Actually, you're right, they like anything that I feed them ... I often wonder why)

That sounds awesome. I can't believe I've never even though of that. I eat a lot of egg and sausage sandwiches so this sounds really good to me. Now I'm going to try that. Thanks.
