I've been having sleeping problems - any recommendations for better sleep?

For the past 3 weeks, I've been having problems sleeping. My husband is on night shift, so I've changed my schedule so that I go to bed about 4am and wake up about 1pm so I can spend time with him on his days off. The problem is that I'm waking up every one to two hours every night, and I never really feel rested. I'm hoping this will change as my body adjusts to the new schedule, but in the meantime: Any suggestions for better sleep?

Definitely try sleepytime tea. If you can't find that tea and would like another to try, find a pure chamomile tea or one that has a lot of chamomile in it. That helps a good bit. Read a book instead of watching tv or looking at a screen of the computer if you can do that. Hm..... meditation sometimes helps. I have a form of meditaiton I usually fall into when trying to sleep and it helps a good bit.

A fellow mylotter once suggested I try something called Sleepytime Tea. I'm pretty sure that was the name. It is fairly easy to find it at Walmart. It's no sleeping pill, but it is a good alternative to what you seem to have a problem with, staying asleep. I have struggled with insomnia for a while, and my doctor always told me to try to be as active as I could all day long, so I'd be so tired at night I'd fall and stay asleep. It's easier said than done, lol.
